dignitas won the second edition of 99Damage Masters after seeing off 1337 by a 2-0 scoreline (16-12 on de_inferno and 16-11 on de_mirage).
Following the end of the King-of-the-Hill Arena Cups, the four teams who amassed the most points during the season pitted their wits against four invited sides for $20,000 in the second iteration of the 99Damage Masters.
The two group winners, dignitas and 1337, advanced straight into the Upper Bracket final, which saw the Danish side emerge victorious after picking up a 2-1 success. The two runners-up, PENTA Sports and mousesports, faced one another in the Lower Bracket final, with Fatih "gob b" Dayik's men easily disposing of their opponents.
dignitas take home $10,000
After raising eyebrows at the Gfinity Summer Masters I, mouz were heavily tipped to make it to the final of this tournament, but they were simply outplayed by the Swedish mix of 1337, who will attend the offline qualifier for ESL One Cologne later this month.
Simon "twist" Eliasson and company went into the grand final seeking revenge against dignitas, but the Danes proved once again to be the stronger side as they picked up another victory, this time without even dropping a map.
